What is a retirement village
A retirement village is a development specifically designed for people over the age of 55. There are many different living and lifestyle options available in the retirement industry today.
Settlers retirement villages are communities which provide residents the freedom to live their own lives in a safe, secure and friendly environment. We are also focussed on providing excellent service and facilities.
When is the right time to consider moving into a retirement village?
Most Settlers residents join the community after they or their partner has retired. They are usually looking to get the most out of retirement and choose to live in a Settlers community because it gives them the freedom to travel, spend more time with family, or any number of other activities.
People also become part of a Settlers community to be with like-minded people and to take advantage of the facilities and lifestyle.
Can my relatives come and stay?
When you move into a Settlers community you are moving into your home. We encourage you and your family to use the facilities available.
Can I have pets?
Villages usually allow small pets however it is advisable to check with your village manager before signing any contracts. Most villages will also have a pet policy that will need to be signed and agreed to.
What does the village manager do?
The village manager ensures the smooth running of the community and is there to help you with any questions or problems you may have.
We feel it is best to have someone local, who knows the community to look after all the day-to-day running of the community and manage any other ground staff or contractors who are working in the village.
